Strawberry

Strawberries belong to the group of grape fruits. Its fruit is not a real fruit, but the part that is eaten is the flower table where about 40-60 pistils join. Strawberry fruits are widely used in the production of jams, marmalade and fruit juice, as well as fresh consumption on the table. Strawberry is a herbaceous plant with a superficial root structure. The roots go down to 60-70 cm in well-drained(filtered) soils. In heavy soils, on the other hand, the roots grow horizontally. The root stem or crown part of the strawberry is a very shortened stem. Strawberry leaves are arranged spirally in a 2/5 arrangement. When the weather warms up in spring, the embryonic leaves that explode reach full size after 2-3 weeks. Each leaf has a lifespan of between 1-3 months Dec. Arms (stolons) develop throughout the summer by forming buds on the seats of new leaves. The flowers in strawberries are panicle-shaped. This can be called an altered body. Good pollination is necessary in strawberries. Disfigurement occurs on fruits that are not well dusted. After pollination, the fruit usually ripens in 30-35 days.
